Capitol Dental Center was founded by Dr. Schafhauser in 1979 immediately after graduating from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. The practice was first located in the Lowry Medical Arts and moved to the corner of 6th and Wabasha shortly after. Several practices joined Dr. Schafhauser over the years. The practice relocated to Town Square in 2022. Over the years, Dr. Schafhauser continued to be an active participant in continuing education, both locally and nationally.
